I’ve always been naturally curious with a compelling affinity for medicine and health. This inclination translated into my pursuit of higher education in biomedical sciences and public health. Originally from the island of Barbados, I moved to Canada and earned my Ph.D. in Cancer Biology and Epidemiology at McMaster University. In addition academic excellence during grad school, I also had time and space away from everything I knew in Barbados for independent self-discovery. I realized that showing up fully as myself did not hinder my success but only propelled me closer to my goals. Find out more about my journey so far in my resume and full CV.
